About these terms

These terms apply when you use our website, www.namestak.com, or buy a NameStak package. By doing either, you agree to them.

The main points:

  • What each package includes is listed on our Pricing page.
  • Card payments go through Stripe. Your card statement may say BrandRamp, Patrick Frank’s agency, which processes NameStak payments.
  • A name on our list isn’t a promise that it’s still available.
  • You can get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase and work on your package hasn’t started. If we’ve already registered your domain, you get everything back except the registration fee. After 14 days, payments can’t be refunded.
  • California law applies.

Packages and payment

We offer two packages. Everything each one includes is listed on our Pricing page.

  • Getting Personal ($499): you buy it online through our secure card checkout.
  • Getting Serious ($1,499): you start by booking a call, and we arrange payment with you after the call.

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax, if any, is shown at checkout.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

The Stripe checkout page shows the merchant as BrandRamp. BrandRamp is Patrick Frank’s agency, and it processes NameStak payments. So your card statement may say BrandRamp rather than NameStak.

Domain names

A name on our list isn’t guaranteed to be available. We can’t promise that any name is available until it has been registered. If yours isn’t, we can talk through other options with you, such as a variation of your name.

As part of your package, we register the domain for your name in your own name, so it belongs to you. Every domain has to be renewed to stay registered (see “After the first year” below).

If you want to move your domain to another registrar, email us at hello@namestak.com and we’ll help with the transfer.

After the first year

Getting Personal includes basic hosting and support for the first year. Getting Serious includes advanced hosting and priority support for the first year.

Renewal fees may apply every year, depending on the domain extension (the part after the dot, like .com).

After the first year, you pay to renew your domain, and your hosting and support if you want to keep them, at the going rate. Nothing renews without a heads-up: we’ll email you at least 30 days before anything renews.

Your part

To set up your package, we need accurate details from you, such as how to reach you and where your domain should forward to. If your package includes a landing page, we also need the text, photos and other content you want on it.

Please only send us content you have the right to use. You keep the rights to your content, and you let us use it to provide your services.

Don’t use our website or services to break the law, to pretend to be someone else, or to infringe anyone’s rights.

Our website

The NameStak name, logo and the content on this site belong to NameStak or are used with permission. Please don’t copy them without asking us first.

Our site links to services run by other companies, such as Stripe for checkout and Calendly for booking calls. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

No guarantees

As far as the law allows, we provide our website and services “as is”. We can’t promise any particular result, such as a search ranking or more visitors. We also can’t promise that our website will always be available or free of errors.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question. We aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business.

Changes and California law

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to put it right.

California law governs these terms. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
