The short version

  • We collect what you send us, plus the standard server logs our web host keeps.
  • We use it to reply to you, to provide the package you buy and, if you sign up, to send our newsletter.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • This site has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.

What we collect

It depends on how you use our site and services.

Our contact form and newsletter signup

Our contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number (with country code) and message. Only your email address and message are required. Our newsletter signup asks for your email address.

Right now, both forms open your own email app with a message to hello@namestak.com that includes what you typed and the address of the page you sent it from. Nothing is sent until you send that email.

We may later use a form-processing service to deliver form messages to us directly. If we do, your message will pass through that service on its way to us.

Email and phone

If you email or call us, we get your email address or phone number and whatever you tell us.

Booking a call

Calls are booked through Calendly. When you book, Calendly collects the details its booking form asks for, such as your name and email address, and shares them with us. Calendly’s privacy notice covers how Calendly handles them.

Buying a package

Card checkout runs on Stripe, which collects your card details. We get the details you enter at checkout and a record of your payment, but never your full card number. Stripe’s privacy policy covers how Stripe handles your information.

NameStak payments are processed by BrandRamp, Patrick Frank’s agency. That’s why the checkout page shows BrandRamp as the merchant, and why BrandRamp also has a record of your payment.

Visiting our site

Our site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, the browser you use and the pages you request, for security and reliability.

The name you type into our “Find your name” search stays in your browser. It isn’t sent to us.

How we use it

  • To reply to your messages and calls.
  • To provide the package you buy, including setup, hosting and support.
  • To take payment and keep the records the law requires, such as tax records.
  • To send our newsletter, if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep our site secure and working.

We don’t sell your personal information.

Who helps us

We use these services to run NameStak, and each one handles some of your information:

  • Stripe processes card payments.
  • BrandRamp, Patrick Frank’s agency, processes NameStak payments.
  • Calendly books calls.
  • Vercel hosts our website and keeps its server logs.
  • Google Workspace hosts our email, including hello@namestak.com.
  • The domain registrar we use gets the contact details it needs to register your domain in your name.
  • A form-processing service, if we start using one, will deliver form messages to us.

That’s the full list. We don’t share your information with anyone else, except when the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This site has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and we don’t use cookies to track you. So the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal.

When you click through to another site, such as Stripe, Calendly or a social network, that site’s own cookies and privacy policy apply.

Keeping your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons above, including records the law requires us to keep.

Our site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and card details are handled by Stripe. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send us card numbers or passwords by email or through our forms.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. Just email hello@namestak.com.

If you’d like to see, correct or delete the personal information we have about you, email us. We may need to keep some records, such as payment records, when the law requires it.

California residents

If you live in California, you have the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect about you, and how we use and share it;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • ask us to correct it.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (ads based on what you do on other sites). We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.

Children

Our site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes and questions

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
